- What does this app do… ?

This app is designed to improve students’ general knowledge and vocabulary. Each question contains four words, and you will be asked to identify the word which is different from the others.

There are 3 different modes that you can play: Lives, Timed, and Fixed. You can chose the game mode you wish to play from the settings menu.

In Lives mode, you start with 3 lives. You will lose 1 life every time you answer incorrectly and the game will end when you run out of lives!

In Timed mode, you will have a set amount of time to answer as many questions as possible, but dont rush too much because youll lose points for each wrong answer!

In Fixed mode you will given a set fixed number of questions, and the game will track your percentage. Can you get a perfect 100%?

This game is excellent preparation for any students preparing for 11+ Verbal Reasoning or Common Entrance exams, but will be of tremendous benefit to any child.

Increasing a childs vocabulary can be difficult, particularly if they are reluctant to read. This game encourages students to visualise words, which can help with spelling, as well as exposing them to words which they would be unlikely to come across in their day-to-day experience. Students with a broad range of vocabulary will achieve higher marks in comprehension and creative writing tasks, both of which are regularly tested throughout their school career. Spelling is also an area which often causes difficulty, and it can be extremely beneficial to find new and imaginative ways to approach it.

This game has been developed by Lucky Gecko Apps in association with Lucky Gecko Tuition.

Lucky Gecko Tuition is a small, friendly group of tutors based in Buckinghamshire, England. They work with children aged 7 to 18, and aim to boost confidence and inspire a love of learning in all their students.
